Walk the build before decorating it
Plan the route from the entrance to shelter, storage, and your crafting area. Walk it while carrying supplies. Look for cramped corners, awkward stairs, and doors that make a simple trip complicated.
Leave yourself room to react near the entrance. Keep the working route clear instead of putting every decorative idea in the same doorway.
Make recovery part of the plan
Keep replacement supplies organized and easy to find. Decide where a visitor should arrive and which areas they need to reach without a guided tour.
A renovation is not finished just because the camera likes it. Test the practical routes again after the furniture goes in.
